ST. LOUIS – The DeBaliviere bridge at Forest Park Parkway is scheduled to close Monday for six months while crews construct a new bridge deck suitable for the new Loop Trolley.
Drivers headed south along DeBaliviere will be diverted at Pershing Avenue and east on Union Boulevard. Road closure and detour signs will be posted.
Forest Park Parkway drivers should know one lane will be closed during construction, along with the eastbound turn lane from Forest Park Parkway to northbound DeBaliviere.
Pedestrians will still be able to access Forest Park via the east side of DeBaliviere.
In addition to lane closures, the west MetroLink staircase and elevator at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere station will close Sunday, and the kiss-and-ride drop-off/pick-up loop will be closed to vehicles. The MetroLink parking lot can be accessed by the crosswalk at Pershing Avenue.
MetroLink will also move bus stops from DeBeliviere to Pershing. More information about this Metro station’s modifications during construction can be found on their website.
