The west entrance to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Metro station reopened on Wednesday after closing in late March. The stairs and elevator on the station’s west side will allow passengers to travel between the MetroLink platform and the station’s Park-Ride lot.
Opening the west entrance to the station will provide an option for passengers crossing DeBaliviere Avenue during Loop Trolley construction, a blog post from Metro said, by allowing riders to travel underneath the DeBaliviere Bridge.
Riders will be able to access the station’s free Park-Ride lot and west DeBaliviere Avenue business using the station’s west entrance. Passengers who travel between the MetroBus stop at Pershing Ave. and the station will be able to continue using the station’s east entrance and pedestrian walkway at street level.
The west entrance to the station closed on March 30, due to construction of the Loop Trolley and was expected to remain closed until September.
